About Dr Frans
Dr Frans initially went to school in Randburg and matriculated at Grey College, Bloemfontein.
He completed his studies at the University of Stellenbosch and was the senior medical officer at Rob Ferreira Hospital from 1989 until 1991. He then completed M.Fam.Med at University of Stellenbosch in 1991.
Advanced qualifications:
– Aviation Medicine
– Diving Medicine
Dr Frans Fourie has been in private practice since 1991 and joined the Nelmed practice in 1997.
• He is currently a senior aeromedical examiner for ATP, CPL,PPL, LSA and RPL(drone) licenses (Class 1-4)
• Honorary Ranger (Lowveld Region) since 2019.
• FGASA NQF2 qualified
Dr Fourie is married to Laetitia and they have 3 sons, a daughter, 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
